The Which? Good Food Guide 2009 gives independent reviews and comprehensive details of over 1,000 restaurants around the UK. Manchester has a reputation as a hotbed of top eateries in the UK but this year Manchester restaurants have been snubbed by the Which? Good Food Guide. Only 3 restaurants from the South Manchester area have made it into the guide and this has caused a bit of a stir. To top this off owner of Greens and celebrity TV chef Simon Rimmer has stated that he is not surprised.

We are just back from Rome and where we have essentially ate our way across the city, so going to an Italian restaurant in New York is definitely taking our chances. BTW, there is no bad pasta in Rome, but there is terrible Pizza. Lupa, the she wolf, symbol of Rome, is a wonderful bistro, on Thompson Street, NYC, that gets it right.
